    Oil on canvas also from the seventeenth century taking up the painting painted by van Dyck in 1629-1630 called "The mystical betrothal of Blessed Joseph Hermann with the Virgin Mary" today in the Museum of Art History of Vienna.
    Here the black coat of the Augustinian order differs from the white Dominican coat on van Dyck's own painting (desire of the sponsor?). It would seem that the character on the far left (instead of the painter van Dyck in the Vienna Museum) is executed in a different hand than the rest of the work.

    17th century work in good used condition, original canvas. The chassis dates from the first half of the nineteenth, good condition. Clean pictorial surface, varnished in good condition. Existence of old non-detrimental restorations. No need for restoration in the immediate future.
    Black patinated wood frame of modern invoice in very good condition. Framing done by a professional.

  • Description de l'œuvre

    Huile sur toile également du XVIIème siècle reprenant le tableau peint par van Dyck en 1629-1630 appelé "Les fiançailles mystiques du Bienheureux Joseph Hermann avec la Vierge Marie" se trouvant aujourd'hui au musée d'histoire de l'art de Vienne.
    Ici l'habit noir de l'ordre des augustins diffère de l'habit blanc dominicain sur le propre tableau de van Dyck (désir du commanditaire?). Il semblerait que le personnage tout à gauche (à la place du peintre van Dyck dans le tableau du musée de Vienne) soit exécuté d'une autre main que le reste de l' œuvre .

    Œuvre d'époque XVIIème en bon état d'usage, toile d'origine. Le châssis date de la première moitié du XIXème, bon état. Surface picturale propre, vernis en bon état. Existence d'anciennes restaurations non préjudiciables. Pas de nécessité de restauration dans l'immédiat.
    Cadre en bois patiné noir de facture moderne en très bon état. Encadrement réalisé par un professionnel.
